Arrival

I really thought that Dune 2 had a shot to take over Arrival as my favorite Denis film, but then I watched Arrival again. Denis Villeneuve somehow expertly balances romance and heart alongside a thrilling alien invasion. This man is a wizard with scale, and between this and Dune 2, the watcher feels tiny compared to these massive scale sci-fi stories. I have seen this movie like 6 times now, and it continues to get better each time. There are so many hidden details and so many instances of subtle foreshadowing that I truly don't think I could ever get bored rewatching this. I need Denis Villeneuve to keep making Sci-Fi and to never stop.
