Get Out is an unbelievable directorial debut from Jordan Peele. Incredible acting performances from Daniel Kaluuyah, Alison Williams, and Betty Gabriel, combined with a haunting score make this one of the most thrilling and atmospheric horrors of the last decade. This film also has a deeply relevant and hard hitting message crafted meticulously not only through the basic story but also through small metaphors only noticed on a second or third watch. For example, Chris having to literally pick cotton in order to escape is absolutely genius. Combining these elements allows Get Out to be one of the quintessential films of the 2010s and an absolute must watch for fans of horror.
