Sinners
I’ve sat on this for a few days and since that original viewing Sinners has been eating away at my thoughts constantly.
An absolute whirlwind of genres, each allowed to flourish. I mean seriously - we got a truly original horror, musical, comedy period piece deeply layered with subtext and rich themes. If that wasn’t impressive enough, all of the acting reaches the high of each individual actors career. It’s kind of a miracle it exists.
In an era of unending slop, I hope this a reminder to studios to let directors do their passion projects, because movie goers love that shit.
Need to see this one again ASAP
