Phantom Thread

i always feel like people are bullshitting when they say daniel day-lewis is one of the best actors ever, mainly cause of the scene in there will be blood where he’s like I’VE ABANDONED MY CHILDDDDDD and it’s just shouting, but then i watch something where he’s as calm and collected as he is in this and i just absolutely get it he is unbelievable also just the rest of this film is so incredible and i mean everything, especially the cinematography which literally just feels like paul thomas anderson desperately trying not to do his usual handheld stuff
