Hazbin Hotel
I don't care about what all the critics say. I know some of the humour isn't that funny, I know the writing can not be the best sometimes and I know how cringy the fanbase is but goddamn it this is one of the most entertaining shows I have ever seen. I can talk about how much I love this show until my lungs fall off. Season 1 is just so fucking good. Getting to dive deeper with all theses characters established in the pilot and seeing how they have developed was so fun. Banging songs, great animation, fun characters. The show has a very unique charm to it that is just contagious. All the main cast are great in there own right. Charlie is a great main protagonist. She is really likeable. Vaggie grew on me alot during rewatch. She doesn't do too much but she is a pleasant inclusion to the show. Her back story is cool as fuck. Angel is one of the most sympathetic characters in all of fiction. There I said it. With him in particular you forget he is a Sinner who is in hell. Husk might be my favourite character. Keith David's charisma is just awesome and I think he plays the role of the wise bar man well. Pentious is just so silly. Its impossible to not love him and might be the funniest character in season 1. Alastor is a incredibly fascinating character. You truly don't know what his motivation is in this season. Lucifer is such a delight. The fact hes a depressed, duck obsessed short king is very amusing. Theres so many characters that I didn't mention (but will for the season 2 paragraphs) that were great aswell. Adam was a great villain and great irony that the first man and angel is a massive dick. Overall Season 1 is one of my favourite seasons of tv of all time and I will always love it.
Season 2 of Hazbin Hotel is in my opinion better than season 1 which is a controversial opinion in the fandom but I 100% believe it. The main level of enjoyment I got from this season was Vox and the Vees. Minor characters in Season 1 they became the main antagonists in this season and they made for some of the most entertaining television I have ever seen. While I don't like Valentino I think he is one of the most consistently well written characters and while he was more evil in season 1 he is still a massive dickhead. Velvette was a character I always liked. I just thought she was cool. I don't care anymore Vox is one of the best written Villains I have seen. He is both devilishly evil but also extremely charming and funny. He is a scene stealer and he basically becomes the main character of the season. He is just a delight. Christian Borle is just fantastic as Vox. I also thought the songs were better in general. I revisit these songs nore than the season 1 songs. Any song with Vox is a banger, Love in a bottle, losin streak, all of Pentious song's and hell hot take Hear my hope is a fucking awesome song and a great way ti end the season. I get why people didn't like the ending but I like it. I fucking love Hazbin Hotel holy fuck
