Bottoms
Oh god, this is gonna wriggle its slimy little self, back into my top 4. Yes, it may ruin the cool and mysterious aesthetic of my profile but gosh darn I can't care anymore. I just love this movie too much.
Genuinely one of the dumbest films I've ever watched, but at the same time, It's so genius. PJ and Josie are such relatable characters that just emanate awkward lesbian freaks, and we love them for that.
The soundtrack is iconic,
the scenes are hilarious,
the characters are unhinged,
and the romances are strangely wholesome (with the exception of Jeff and Isabel but I don't think they really count).
Only thing I don't like is that (at least up until the end), nobody wanted Hazel. Genuinely the most unrealistic part of this film (and just remember, a bunch of high school cheerleaders and dorks brutally murdered an entire football team in front of a crowd of students and teachers).
Also have to say though, that I can't even blame PJ to be honest. Rewatching it, Brittany was totally giving off some lesbo vibes but whateverrrrrr. At least she scored Hazel.
Writing is brilliant (though some of my favorite scenes were improvised), acting is great, and the cinematography of the football scene is beautiful.
I will always come back to this movie.
