Summerland

This film actually moved something in my soul. I knew immediately from the scene at the start when Alice saw a kid unable to get a chocolate from the store so she bought it only to keep it for herself, that I was going to love her. The scenery and shooting was perfect, the acting was great (especially from the little girl) and the dynamic between Alice and Frank was truly beautiful as they both opened themselves up to each other. When Alice spoke with Frank about loving another woman, I was on the verge of tears oh my gosh. And then the twist where all along Frank was Vera’s son and she actually sent him to Alice to keep him safe was genuinely shocking to me, but it tied the story together so beautifully. Gosh this was such a good move 10/10 would recommend!!
