The Notebook

This review contains spoliers. The saddest film I have ever watched. I have not been so emotional over a movie ever in my entire life. I am completely lost for words right now. The ending was the saddest of any movie ever, it completely ripped apart my heart, and yet it was so poetically beautiful and perfect for the narrative and their characters. "I lost you once, I think I can do it again", and then he has to lose her over and over again because of her dementia... you have to be soulless to not cry over that. Oh, and the reveal that it was Aliee that wrote 'the story' in the notebook, tore my heart out. Just a flawless film. Such a beautiful film, I cannot wait to show my girlfriend this one. I strive to yearn the way Ryan Gosling characters yearn, and 'Noah' yearns more than any of them.
