Hamnet

[98th Academy Awards] Oscar Nomination Watchlist: Film #3 (Best Original Score, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Casting, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Actress in Leading Role, Best Director, Best Picture) I bought my ticket to Hamnet at my local theater a week in advance because it had a very limited amount of showtimes and I thought it was most likely going to be removed due to a lack of interest/low ticket sales, which honestly I was expecting and quite frankly hoping to be alone because I knew I was going to be sobbing but to my surprise it was a packed house but at the very least I wasn't the only one crying lol. Anyways, I'm glad this got the amount of nominations for the Academy as it did and I'm rooting for Buckley to get that Best Actress win and also maybe for this film to win Best Adapted Screenplay. Also Mescal should've gotten nominated for Best Actor in Leading Role and Jacobi Jupe fo Best Supporting Actor. But yeah, this remains a 5/5.
