what a tremendous film. carrie is the epitome of a slow burn horror. a build up that inclined in suspense with every passing moment and a spellbindingly explosive ending that easily goes down as one of the greatest things to come from the horror genre. sissy spacek truly delivers one of the most emotionally profound performances in a horror film. and this movie wouldn’t have turned out the way it did without brian de palma at the helm. even though this is my first watch, this has easily solidified itself as one of the best horrors i have ever seen.
