Full Metal Jacket

kubrick really got the deepest directorial bag of all time, you can literally ask him to make a film from any genre you want and he’ll drop an absolute banger. the first half of this film is really shocking and eye opening to watch why soldiers are subject to during their training, private pyle’s descent into madness was my favourite part of this film.  the second half, though not as entertaining, is just as brilliant. these soldiers now graduated from training are sent to the field to which they were training for. the cinematography during this half is mesmerizing, and the finale of the film is suberb.
