Longlegs
Longlegs Dumping
The day I went to see this film for the first time in theaters was the same day my grandma perished in front of me and my family. She had lived a good life and when the police showed up to document her passing they were surprised at the sheer amount of cars surrounding her house, she was loved by so many people.
After she passed, I stuck my mind on one thing, her face. She was smiling, loved by those who were with her in her last moments.
6 hours later and still emotionally distraught I pick up my friend to go and see this movie. It made my day way better due to the fact I loved it, but there was also a character that I can’t look at without seeing my grandma, she had a similar face. I went back to see it a second time not long after and enjoyed it yet again, still thinking about my grandma.
Only a crazy person could go and see a film with not that great rewatch-ability so many times. But I keep going back because it is such a positive memory of her.
My grandmother always believed in me and was ecstatic when I told her I wanted to write scripts for film in the future. At this point, no matter how many obstacles or how bad the scripts I produce are, I’m going to continue on with it. Because it’s what my grandma would’ve wanted.
While this is probably extremely weird for someone looking for a review of the movie, I just had to get it out one way or another.
