Phantom Thread
Nothing changed here, I loved before I still loving it now ❤️
There is no discussion that is one of PTA masterpieces; the only improve is that now I understood better the part that stopped me for a full 5 stars, being one of these perfects works from PTA along Magnolia, and is just that Phantom Thread is something genuilely unique and personal from all his films, delivers a bunch of layers to analyze behind its characters and reflects the imperfection of love and how those downs makes strong the link between a couple, with an artistic and poetic direction that made the script development and message more meaningful and wonderful. I also can't help but find it similarities with Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, and considering that PTA praised the film (well deserved praise) I assume that the film draws inspiration from this other masterpiece. Is also one of my favorite performances from Daniel, if weren't for his acting in Gangs Of New York and Lincoln, probably it could be my favorite one.
And nothing more to say, just a film that have all the aspects for calling it ART
Phantom Thread, the example of why we love cinema and Paul Thomas Anderson ❤️
