Moana
𓏴 ࣪ story & plot 🎬 ⠀⠀
moana is the story of a chiefs daughter who , throughout the story , finds out who she really is - a wayfinder. her self discovering journey is truly beautiful to me. I love how her and maui build a friendship that is far beyond usual, but still incredible. Is it written for kids? Yes. Does it have a lot of subject which is made for older audience to understand? Also yes. Te fiti and the water are amazing depictions of how we should treat nature with kindness. It's a bit dramatic with lots of info, but I love it nonetheless.

where do I even begin. The animation are so beautiful I wanna bawl my eyes out. The smooth animation, the colors used, the emotions. BEAUTIFUL. GORGEOUS. AMAZING. Disney has outdone themselves.
( 🍿 ) —— sounds & music
I know all the lyrics by heart. The meanings are amazing. The voice actors knew what they were doing. The songs are catchy, heartwarming, emotional. Every time I hear the songs, I wanna sing along and cry at the same time.
࣪ ۫𓂅 directing & pacing . ⟢
the storytelling is really nice, especially since it starts with a story in the story. It all feels like a native myth (which it technically is) and gives a view into the Pacific islanders story (just rewritten). It felt a tiny bit repetitive at times (I don't even have a specific example) but the story didn't feel rushed, since we saw Moana grow up and find herself over time.
᠃ ᠌acting 📽 casting 𓍢 ::
first of all, I am so grateful that Auli'i (a woman BORN IN HAWEII) voice acts Moana and that Dwayne (a man who GREW UP IN HAWEII and is HALF SAMOAN) has the voice of Maui. Even though Moana herself isn't canonly queer, I'm glad her voice actress is proudly bisexual. All the voice actors did an amazing job portraying their characters!
