“Whoever controls the spice controls the universe.”
This movie is so, so, so good. Watching a second time, there is a lot of foreshadowing that is super cool to see. Now that you have a grasp of all the names, places, and factions, everything makes sense, and you’re not pulled away from the story trying to remember who’s who. The first time I watched the movie, what really stood out to me was the use of music. The soundtrack to this movie is beyond stellar. What stands out to me on the second watch is the lack of music being just as powerful. In the final fight between Paul and Jamis, the lack of music is just as powerful as the actual music was throughout the rest of the movie. Denis Villeneuve really used every element possible to make this movie perfect. And by God, he did.
