Dune

“My road leads into the desert. I can see it.” Absolutely transcendent in IMAX. Maybe my favorite theater experience of all time. So many scenes in this where I genuinely considered to myself if this is the greatest film ever made (until Part Two). Obviously the film is stunning and flawless in every technical aspect, the cinematography, score, sound, it’s all some of the best of all time. The story and world building here are also some of the best ever for me. The world is so rich and lived in, created and crafted with so much love care and attention. And the story is so deeply enthralling and emotional, I cannot fucking wait to see how it all comes together in Part Two. This film has somehow only continued to get even better for me with every viewing, especially because this time I finally got to see it in IMAX. And that sneak preview of Part Two, OH MY FUCKING GOD. I think we’re in for the greatest film ever made. That was so unbelievably incredible
