Oldboy
This film is truly perfect. Oh Dae-Su is such a gravitational and atrocious character with a character arc that’s just so cool and repulsive. Even the score alone is tailored to this particular aesthetic so well it’s disconcerting. The visuals in particular are what makes this so special. It’s composed in a way that makes it so attractive and flowing but harsh and urghhhh. No words can fully encapsulate the masterclass of old boy.
Old boy is perfect in every which way. It is flawless, devastating and everything a story should strive to be. Any human who has not seen old boy is incomplete.
