Honestly, despite how gripping the premise it was, this film didn’t click for me at all until the final twenty minutes. That’s when the tears started. It’s such a bold and risky move, with how this was filmed and who is in it, but the sheer power of letting these people tell the story in a docufiction brings so much more emotional weight when it finally pays off. It’s a true exemplar of the force of empathy.
