Daisies
Plot? I don’t care about plot. Give me more loosely connected vignettes of these two girls playing around with themes of patriarchy and expectations thrust upon young women. The themes of men and women here is clear. I see the declaration of acting spoiled in spite of a spoilt world as a sort of rebellion against these patriarchal systems and those who uphold them through giving the world a more extreme version of what they asked for.
It’s art. It’s pretty. It’s disjointed. It’s juvenile. It’s chaotic. It’s debauched. It’s lush. It’s delectable. It’s paradoxical.
