Disclosure Day
ALL complaints about this movie are unbelievably valid.
However Spielberg is the only director living that can tackle such a heavy, broad, and existential topic and turn it into a thought provoking blockbuster with a climax that leaves you with wonder and awe.
I love how from the first scene, we're forced into this story. We have zero idea what's going on immediately but over time, we use context to pick up the pieces.
It's obviously a plot-driven movie in every way but the deep dive that this takes on Emily Blunt's childhood and character as a whole is just so compelling. And props to Blunt because if it was Gal Gadot instead, this movie would've been terrible. Like I may need to rewatch the A Quiet Place series but I don't see a debate for this not being the best performance of Blunt's career.
Kinda awesome how Colman Domingo is in everything now and I still wish he was in more. That's natural talent right there.
