Michael
I watched this film 3 times now and honestly it gets better every time I watched. For them to have to reshoot a good amount of the movie, they still did a really good job putting everything together. Jaafar Jackson did an amazing job portraying Michael. The movements, the voice, the dancing, everything felt spot on. There were moments where if you closed your eyes, you would’ve through it was MJ. Joe Jackson was portrayed perfectly. He made you feel that tension every time he was on screen.
I think this movie is perfect for people who weren’t around during Michael’s time and want to understand his impact. It gives you a real idea of how big his music was, how talented he was, and why people loved him so much. I think everyone is in agreement that they wish the movie touched more on the sensitive topics and allegations, but I understand the legal reasons of why they didn’t. Probably more coming in part two.
The pacing was a little quick and random in some parts, but overall, this was a great movie. I’m looking forward to part two. Might go see a fourth time.
