Güeros
los poetas no son los que van y vienen, sino los que se quedan en la estación viendo los trenes partir.i rewatched this film with my dad and... what an experience. don't be surprised if this appears in my top4 someday.
what can i say? it's a piece of art. it's full of life. i was able to picture color through the story and at the end, i swear i could listen to epigmenio cruz.
there's lots of things i could talk about in this film, like how much i find myself in these characters. all of them have at least something that resonates with me: tomás quietly carrying his camera everywhere, sombra's anxiety personified as a tiger, ana's playfulness and her will to protest, santos' way of trying to calm and stick the group together. it's like... a big puzzle where everything connects eventually.
don't even get me started on the editing, the pacing, the photography, the VISUALS! my dad and i absolutely loved the little details and the soft surrealism it all contains.
i know i could say much more but oh well. it all just feels like a warm hug.
fokin película preciosota ya quiero viajar a sudamérica y ver a la fam 😭
