“from the desert to the sea. a jew but wants to be a nazi.” WHAT DID PTA KNOW “and we’ll throw in a book of mormon. free.” owen wilson “plays” a father that abandons his child i’ve read the book since the last time i saw this and i think the book is better. this adaptation is wholly PTA though. i actually don’t love Phoenix’s performance. He plays Doc with a sort of anxiety and insecurity that i don’t read in the character. i guess, it’s not a bad performance, just different  i think the critiques about the plot being way too convoluted and not really making sense are dumb. like? have you ever been high? that’s the point? PTA plays a song by his mother in law while his wife is on screen. kinda cool
