Phantom Thread

This movie has a lot of (very beautiful) things to say about love and hate and how they show up in our lives. There will always be a kernel of one present in the other. You must love someone and know them deeply in order to truly hate them. You must hate someone and know them deeply in order to truly love them.  Paul Thomas Anderson is quickly becoming not only one of my favorite directors, but one of my favorite film makers period. The fact that he wrote this as well blew me away.
