Sing Sing

The relationship I have with theater is a very special one. One that means a lot to me. It has been one that has carried me through the lowest valleys of my life and led me to the highest peaks. There is something very special about theater, and the arts in general of course.  This movie is beautiful. One of a kind. Domingo’s performance is breathtakingly amazing. But the fact that they had actual former RTA members playing themselves is the shining light of this movie. I cannot believe how well each and every one of them did. The experience, the weight, and the pain that they carry with them was so moving.  Finally, I hate to, in my review, compare films to others, but after seeing both this and Anora, how tf was this not even nominated for best picture? What the fuck?
