Sinners
I think the most underrated / least talked about (at least in my perception) is the change in lighting / color work and camera shots.
In the beginning, during the day, there are bright, vibrant, colors. Wide angle shots of the fields and the bright blue sky. But during the night, there’s a tinge of orange over everything (in the mill, and of course for the outside, a tinge of blue). Most of the shots are closer in on the subject instead of zoomed out like the morning.
Such a good artistic representation of freedom, agency, and life. Will continue to think about Stack’s line “look at the sky. It’s a great day to be free, ain’t it?”
