Before Sunset
The age you come to this trilogy clearly affects your reading of it so much. This is art as corny as that sounds. I watched sunrise after 30 and found it a little much, but I can see being 15-25 and connecting with it. Now I watch this one at 31 and I am DEVASTATED but also HOPEFUL. Its like I’ve been slapped in the face with my own existence
This hits so much harder knowing that Linklater made the first one hoping to reconnect with someone then found out they died. Honestly had me welling up in the opening scene connecting those dots
This man is MARRIED talking like this? Wtf
But also love is real. This gives me the opposite of the existential crisis friend’s weddings give me, I don’t know how else to explain it
I was fine until I read your fucking book, that’s all I want someone to say to me
Also holy fuck that Notre-dame scene/story now
