Memento
After waiting a while to finally watch this I can pleasantly say it was worth the wait. Memento is a story about revenge, and vengeance, Leonard feels as if he has blood on his hands.
The story has 2 storylines that I still don’t fully grasp, and I think it’ll take another watch before I fully get it. I also thought at times they could’ve allowed the story to play out instead cutting back to the other storyline. I thought it jumped around a few to many times.
Memento definitely tackles a condition that a lot of people probably don’t know much about. I think Guy Pearce was perfect in this role, at times I felt like he actually had anterograde amnesia. Speaking on Guy Pearce, he had an insane performance here. But let’s not be distracted from other actresses or actors here as well. Carrie-Ann Moss and Joe Pantoliano were absolutely outstanding as well.
Moving along this is one of the first films I’ve seen where I’ve had several prevailing theories or opinions on endings.
This is a masterful film out of Christopher Nolan’s catalogue, and I feel as if this one kind of flies under the radar at times.
