Hereditary

“You are Paimon. One of the eight Kings of Hell. We have looked to the northwest and called you in. We’ve corrected your first female body and give you now this healthy male host. We reject the Trinity and pray devoutly to you, great Paimon: give us your knowledge of all secret things; bring us honor, wealth and good familiars; bind all men to our Will, as we have bound ourselves for now and ever to Yours.” This will always and forever be my favourite modern horror movie. Every single time I watch this I notice something new and I feel even more spooked than the previous watch. I truly believe this film is a masterpiece. The performances are hauntingly good, and the overall pacing of this film and how everything unfolds is truly a work of art. I’ve rewatched this probably more than 5-6 times and I don’t think I could ever get sick of this movie. The ending sends chills down my spine like no other film does and I can honestly say this is a comfort movie for me. Beautifully created. Love love love it! 5/5
