Get Out

Hits every time. Really gives Spider-Man (2002) a run for its money for my favorite movie of all time. Rife with symbolism and themes. Emotional scenes about Chris’s mom hit really hard, great comedic relief from Rod, such a great reveal that makes rewatches maybe more interesting than the first watch.  Slight nostalgia bias because it’s kinda the movie that locked me in to movies but I just genuinely can’t really think of anything wrong with it. The imagery of the sunken place is so striking to me every time. And the reveal of him using the cotton to not get hypnotized is a theater memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
