Resident Evil

A rewatch less than a week later but I cannot handle how perfectly this movie was made. A raw entry into a franchise that hadn’t yet spawned multiple sequels manages to create and build a world that demands you sink your teeth into. It’s the perfect sci-fi action thriller and it never once dares to be anything other than the best of its class. It’s gory, suspenseful, comedic, heartbreaking, and badass the entire time. PWSA crafts a masterwork here and takes off on a path of greatness many people are still too naive to embrace. It’s never too late to acknowledge greatness, see this as soon as you can. It’s worth the entire series.
