Django Unchained

9.5 / 10 "The "D" is silent, hillbilly." My 3rd favorite Tarantino film and easily the most cohesive linear story he has ever directed. Not enough can be said about this damn near perfect story, with legendary performances from Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio.  Tarantino is so good at creating villains that are portrayed in such a way that makes the audience look away and despise the character so much. DiCaprio gives his most menacing and captivating performance as Calvin Candie with one of the greatest improv scenes I have ever seen at the dinner table towards the end of the movie.  I could go on and on about how much I adore this movie, but I will say the tracking shot of Django riding on the horse without a saddle holding up his rifle with one hand, is one of my favorite shots in any Tarantino production. It's just perfection.
