Interstellar

Pure Sci-fi magic a masterpiece of the genre  This was perfect before I watched it in IMAX and is still perfect now I have watched it in IMAX. This film is magical from the thunderous score to the visuals which will hold up for decades and even centuries. The biggest strength of this film is the pure emotion that it holds. Every performance from the child actor of Murph to Matthew’s lead role shine so bright and their performances are so clean cut and raw. The visual effects are groundbreaking and beautiful to look at from the massive black hole to the deep darkness of space everything made via CGI is tremendous and some of the best work ever done on a visual scale. The cinematography provides some stunning shots of the vast planets and the fielded landscape. The contrast of static shots to moving long shots is a pure masterpiece of camera work. The score is so good, helps provide so much to the story adding both adrenaline and emotion to a lot of the scenes. The corn chase scenes music is iconic for a reason. This films pure intelligence is so great too. The ability this film has to incapsulate through complicated scientific dialogue and for it to make sense to me is wild and I love it for that. Some scenes are just amazing from millers planet to the ending it’s magical. This is Nolan’s best work the pure magic it holds in my heart and being one of the first films I watched in my long list since 2022. It holds a place in my heart and watching it in IMAX changed it for the better. Masterpiece
