Chicago

i am a sucker for musicals, it’s not easy for me to hate a musical and chances are very high that i will rate each musical i see at least a 6/10. this is a 10/10 film from me, VERY deserving of its best picture win. i haven’t seen the other two best picture nominees of its year, but i can’t imagine them being as good as this.  the music is so catchy, and every song is a bop. everyone gives phenomenal performances, it’s a shame richard gere was not nominated for best actor. stylish, electrifying scenes are almost everywhere. it’s a fun and energetic film with spectacle almost as good as la la land, with a surprising amount of dark humor. i loved the characters, even if all were corrupt and only looked out for themselves.  absolutely love this. one of the deserving films to win best picture. recommend me films here
