Roma

Masterful film. Words could not describe what I felt as I rewatched this film for the second time, it just hit home the first time and it’s just absolutely beautiful. Marina de Tavira deserved that Oscar nomination and I was glad to see her nominated for such a subtle role. Oh my god it’s just absolutely outstanding, this is in fifth place in my top 12 of all time, I love it that much. I’d be lying if I didn’t shed a few tears at the delivery scene. That protest scene was genuinely chilling, it reminds me of what’s happening right now here in the Philippines with Duterte’s incompetence and such, but I hope what happened fifty years ago does not happen here. Loved the cinematography, and the sound design, the sound design was phenomenal. Watched this on my laptop and with AirPods on, and the sound design was phenomenal, what more if this was on the big screen?  Astonishing and masterfully directed, Roma is an emotionally rewarding film that’s sure to make you shed a few tears 🙈 Recommend me films here
