Still Walking

Very personal to me but that bias aside I think this is probably the best family movie ever made. Unabashedly realistic, the idiosyncrasies of a family put on full display. Without a doubt is the modern day “Tokyo Story” and while it may be controversial I feel that Kore-eda is able to surpass Ozu here. Kore-eda is the greatest living empathetic director (and one of the best living in general).
