"Yeah. I'll be back. You see that movie, man? Rent it at your local video store." Wow. No disrespect but this movie taught me Laurence Fishburne can act. Playing iconic characters in The Matrix and John Wick among many others takes talent but to take such a character driven story and deliver it into an absolutely gut-wrenching rollercoaster of emotions takes the class of acting I never associated with him. Jeff Goldblum is unsurprisingly impeccable and the entire movie flows perfectly. Huge thanks to Criterion for restoring and redistributing this and other great, important films for people to revisit or visit for the first time.
