Ichi the Killer

I found myself quite perplexed by this movie. Despite my initial inclination to rate it poorly, the intriguing storyline held my attention and prevented me from doing so. However, the excessive gore often felt overpowering, detracting from the plot at times. This aspect left me in a state of confusion. I'm torn between genuinely enjoying the film and merely appreciating the characters' portrayals.
