hm yeah i feel like i remember why this has been a mainstay on my top four for like nearly 4 years now. like holy fucking shit what a movie. i love when i finish a film and just yell "SHIT FUCK SHIT SHIT" at the screen. utterly apocalyptic. like genuinely one of the most depressing films ever made. no one wins; it's just death death death. and of course none of it works without anthony perkins' frankly beautiful performance – i miss him more every day. and, of course, the most iconic line: "i am dying from thirst-arooney"
