Persona
Vinyl.films recommended me something I would have never thought to like this much. Like I was hoping for an 5-star but I didn't think I'd actually get it.
This film was put in this earth just for my eyes only because this feels like it was made for me. This is filmmaking at its finest and I would need to watch this film hundred times just to be honored enough to even speak about it. This writing is something else.
This film breaking the fourth wall is something beyond any other films. This is art. This film makes you watch them burning the film strip literally and reminds you that you are watching a piece of art right now.
The dialogue between Alma and Elizabet is fantastic and it's written in such a brilliant way and then oh my the directing comes in from Ingmar Bergman because he just sharpens the axe when it's already in perfect shape.
I don't get it how the dialogue can be that good and the directing can blow me from my couch to the sky. Because as I was watching this I felt like I was floating in another dimension because the directing was so strong, sharp and talented.
Then at the end the film revealing the huge plot twist that Alma was just part of her mind trying to stay sane, normal, and professional. To fix the depression and deep empty void in her mind. Alma is the tool to desperately talk Elisabet out of depression.
This film really blew me to pieces and I am so in love with this film now. It did indeed make a spot for my favorite films and I am showing this to everyone I know.
An entry on my "TOP 20"
