"We're alive, truly and wonderfully alive"
I have to say this film is just a complete masterpiece. I don't care what anyone says this film is just too good. It takes a lot of talent to actually film a film in one room and still make the film this good.
Let me start off with the characters. Brandon was just a amazing character. Filmed flawlessly to be a complete psychopath. I liked how they needed two characters for this film. One who is impassive, calm, and enjoys killing (Brandon). One who is filled with anxiety, nervous, and showing signs of weakness (Phillip). I loved how, because Phillip is always paranoid and Brandon is calm and excited about the murder and the party, it makes Brandon look so psychopathic. Brandon's character is so well written. Now Rupert was a amazing character. Him being so calm and pressing Phillip all the time was so hilarious to watch. James Stewart is just top class and handled his role so well. One of my favorite actors to this day.
This film itself and its suspension is good. I loved how they were mentioning David in a playful way, like, for example, when Kenneth said something about them having a birthday, Brandon said, "Quite the opposite" was such clever dialogue. This film had so much more dialogue like this. Then, whenever they would touch the chest or get near it Phillip would get so nervous. Everything in this film was filmed so well. I thought this was a 4.5 star when i first watched this but now this film has definitely earned its place in my 5 star ratings.
