Supergirl

This was just like a simple ass decent superhero movie. It felt like phase 1/2 marvel movies, which makes sense ofc cause this is only the second dcu movie. The best part was BY FAR Milly Alcock. Her acting and portrayal of supergirl was genuinely 10/10. She is perfect in the role genuinely best possible casting and they directors and writers got the character of Supergirl so good. Jason Mamoa as Lobo was really fun too and i liked him, id lowk like a spin off movie. Eve Ridley as Ruthye was just decent in the movie but stood out in many scenes as great in those one on one conversations with Kara. David Corensweat Superman was in the movie for id say like total 7 minutes and all were great to see him. The weakest character by far was the villain. He genuinely was just a boring generic ass guy and he literally did nothing the whole movie. Kara just destroyed the guy with the “power of a thousand men” so easily. Just bland overall. I absolutely loved the flashback scenes, all of them, the ones with Krypto, the ones on Krypton, aswell as the ones with Clark. Probably the flashback scenes were my favourite scenes of the movie. I also really liked the one on one heartfelt talk scenes between Kara and Ruthye, gave a more grounded and emotional vibe to the movie compared to superman's uplifting kinda tone. The fight scenes weren't really great. The best one was the one at that planet where Krem kills that family of 3 with Lobo and Supergirl tearing down the army, other then that, there really wasn't anything spectacular like the superman fight scenes which were genuinely so so damn good. Overall I liked the hero characters and the emotional, grounded scenes the most. And what I didn't like was the villain especially, aswell as the execution of the story and the fight scenes. Idk why some people r saying dcu is dead after one still decent movie. This is only the second movie and it's still good, it's overreaction, probably the expectations were set too high after Superman. (The needle drop in the final fight is the worst thing of all time)
