From Beyond

I've always had a hard time writing reviews for my favorite movies. I can not even begin to know how to write this review. From Beyond came to me when I was first getting into body horror and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. It's crazy pink/purple lighting that, at times, is both amazing and ridiculous, its hammy, but sincere, performances by Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton, and its fantastic special effects work are only some of the reasons why I love this fun schlock. As for the rest of the reasons, I'm afraid they're not something I can put into words. It's like the other world that the resonator reveals: there's something unknown filling up the air of this movie that just vibes with me and my pineal gland. I just know that by the time it's over I still want to see more, feel more!
