Eraserhead
David Lynch comes out swinging with a genre defining technical masterpiece that is likely the most unnerving horror film I’ve ever seen. Eraserhead is a psychological nightmare that left me unsettled, yet on the edge of my seat. Truly a gruesome, but unique character study about fatherhood that left me covering my mouth in disgust, questioning the extents of Lynch’s surreal landscape, and a bit emotionally overwhelmed.
Lynch has this indescribable approach to film as a medium, and Eraserhead as a directorial debut already sets him exactly where he wanted to be. In a world of his own.
