Running on Empty

This movie is so damn good, thank you once again River Phoenix for being the actor of all time. The fact that he was only eighteen years old here is incredible. In my first review of this movie I talked and talked about River’s performance which is obviously wonderful, but why didn’t I mention Christine Lahti??? The restaurant scene is maybe the best scene in the entire movie, some absolutely top tier acting from her. This is just an all around great film, the performances and direction are amazing, River should’ve gotten that Oscar.
