Fracture
I feel very conflicted about this. For the first half of the movie i was begging for something to finally happen because watching William struggle with evidence was only fun the first 20 minutes. However i think the fact that it got me so frustrated was a great attempt from the directors to let us know what the main character was going through by making us feel the same emotion. In turn it also made the solution feel a lot more satisfying.
The representation of the justice system not being truly just is also something that will always strike a chord with me, and i felt very validated watching Ryan Gosling's character be absolutely infuriated by it. I still think many things along with that could've been done way better. As a tiny example, the antagonist's little creations that kept appearing, i think, are wasted potential. It seemed so integral to the plot that i found myself disappointed when i realized it's purpose was just another way to emphesis his control.
