*Dare I say one of the best dramedy shows of all time.. * Throughout the entire series you can definitely see an upward curve in the essence of the episodes and characters. There are so many emotions that I could feel and relate to in the most accurate way. The way this story comes to an end is beautiful and I have got to say, hit much more than I expected it would. Not often do I watch an epsiode and think to myself, "this is on 1 level with Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul". Well with episode 9 I did. The entire plot accelerates so fast so well and creatively connected, I gotta say it's unbelievable. Then every epsiode there are "intermissions" where we learn more about a character, discover more of their world and dive deep into emotions but also personality traits. As a result of the combination from these quiter moments and the plot-progressive ones, it forms an emotional bond to the characters, an understanding for their actions/perspective and character development. During all 10 episodes, we also see different characters go through different struggles. Their attempts to cope aswell as their dealing with trauma or solution finding. It always felt realistic and unique whilst still reaching a wider audience. A24 is just spot on with so many parts of everything the show mentions or addresses. Also with the cinematography which I can only say boosted the entire series. I hope you can feel that I am passionate about this show, because believe me Amy & Danny are two of the greatest characters, I have ever got to known. Especially Danny is relatable but also completely his own, it's just in a way super depressing whilst providing comfort. Now follows my 2 favourite pieces of dialogue, which also leaves to show how good this series is. Hm: Danny: "What you did was not nice! It's not nice to do that!" Doesn't make the final cut into the top 2 but is surely funny. –Amy(I guess): "Maybe we're not normal. Maybe we're too fucked up." Danny: "Or maybe normal people are just delusional fucked up people." –Amy: "We need water." Danny: "Humans can go days without water, so relax." Amy: "That is 100 percent not true." Danny: "Oh, yeah? How long then?" Amy: "I don't know-19 hours?" Danny: "19? I've slept 19 hours without water, you idiot." Amy: "Who sleeps that long?" Danny: "I had a bad day!"
