Aftersun

The hat-trick of this movie is that it doesn't let you in on what it's doing to you under the surface. All these fragmented moments and you think "oh yeah it's like an old fond memory" but then when the ending hits you it all snaps into place and you feel everything that both the father and daughter feel and it all crescendos in this final sequence that completely rips your fucking heart out. This is a movie that can only come from the mind of someone who had this in their brain for a long time. Incredible stuff.
