Dune

So many thoughts about this movie Most importantly, it felt completely grounded. It took itself perfectly seriously without being the slightest bit pretentious. It had so much room to breathe within each scene which was so important for the building of atmosphere. I was so prepared going into this movie to be lost the entire time and to have to keep up with everything going on but it really was such an easy watch, while never feeling like it sacrificed any of the story for it. Idk I'm not familiar with the source text but I wouldn't have wanted that movie to be any different or more dense. Plus, there's at least one other part to get more deep into the lore of it all. I'm hooked. I truly felt like I could have watched another two hours of that in the theatre without ever getting bored or wondering when it was going to be over. It also helped that this was a sold out Imax screening. Loved the energy of the crowd. I really hope I dont have to wait three years for part two.
