Marty Supreme

This is Josh Safdies masterpiece and cements him as my favourite working director right now, this is an absolute masterclass in character development, dialogue and most importantly, tension building. When Josh created a beautifully tense character driven story in good time and uncut gems it was beautifully done and I had no real complaints but Marty supreme with its sheer superiority to the two other projects make them seem weaker in comparison, Marty supreme almost perfects its dialogue as seen most through the character of Marty and his beautifully snappy dialogue that is only exemplified by Chalamet’s generational performance that cements this as not only Josh Safdie’s best film but the best piece of tension inducing cinema and the best movie I’ve seen released in 2025.
